From the Chairman's Desk

Mr Philip Chiyangwa
Executive Chairman - Pinnacle Property Holdings( Pvt) Ltd

Welcome to the Pinnacle Properties Holdings website.

I do not believe that the Zimbabwean society can truly live harmoniously until we introduce new housing and community models for mixed residential areas. We need neater and more inclusive master planning in residential areas, where communities can live together harmoniously regardless of your economic class, race or creed. It is my humble belief that this will create a truly homogenous society where people will see and relate to each other better.

This philosophy lies at the core of Pinnacle Property Holdings, Zimbabwe's largest privately owned property company, focusing on integrated development and financing of infrastructure. Already one of the leading, if not the largest, black-owned and managed construction companies in Zimbabwe , it is involved in projects with both local and central government inder privatise-public partnership in terms of housing delivery and infrastructure development, some of them earmarked for the 2010 Soccer World Cup in the hospitality industry.

The company's holistic approach takes all aspects of community life into consideration. When we conceptualise and put proposals forward for projects such as a new township, we include possible factors-roadsm storm water drainage, bulk water services, the suitability of shopping centres sites, schools clinics, parks and sports grounds. We seek partnerships with the public secotr, communities and associated stakeholders as well.

I feel strongly about the value of joining forces to produce superior results. Public-private partnerships can result in significant benefits. For instance, we would propose that a local authority avails land for housing or suburban development, Government contributes a certain percentage of funding and we procure the other typs structures, but social housing, which I believe I constitute sthe right standard for people in our country. They help boost people's self esteem and also ensure that owners take great care of them.

Our exoertise go far beyond fairly straightforward engineering and design work such as required for housing, schools, office blocks and the like, extending to complex structures such as the hospitality industry as well as public infrastructure like airports. The group is renowned not only for the quality and reliability of its work, but also for timeous delivery within budget and strong focus on client satisfaction.

Housing is the main focus area and Pinnacle is actively putting together structures, financial models and solutions to fund social housing projects. I believe that Zimbabwe is at the risk of falling behind on housing delivery-much like what happened in Brazil, which led to the growth of the notorious 'Favela' structures, which entrenched poverty, crime and despair. We have looked at successful housing projects in countries such as Malaysia, U.K, and the USA, and putting together better quality housing for rent and ownership by al income brackets. I believe we can play a crucial role in infrastructure development in Zimbabwe.

Pinnacle is also involved in water and sewer reticulation projects and road construction. It has accumulated significant experience and expertise while cultivating a solid reputation. We also undertake smaller projects such as schools, clinics, post offices and free-standing houses.

We are confident that we have the right formula to help build Zimbabwe.
